The Afterglow Cosmetics line was developed out of the company founder's personal need for a natural cosmetic that out preformed the traditional cosmetic lines. These cosmetics were created to give women a safer, high fashion, high pigmented line of color cosmetics.

The company's cosmetics are continually among the most highly rated for safety on the Environmental Working Group's "Skin Deep Report." Afterglow Cosmetics endorses The Breast Cancer Fund's Compact for Safe Cosmetics, a campaign advocating for safer cosmetics.
